Magicians for years have entertained audiences with amazing feats of magic and grand illusions. Selecting the right magician and magical show is important for the success of your party. Here are a few tips to help you make the right decisions.1. Magicians are usually members of organizations such as the Magic Castle. A professional magician should be able to present you with promotional materials that will include a picture, resume, and list of previous clients and venues where you may be able to see him or her perform. Most performers have videotapes available for viewing.
2. Know what kind of magic you want for your party or event. You may prefer that the magician stroll among guests as they're enjoying cocktails. A good performer should be able to move from group to group, entertaining people with close up tricks that are both humorous and serious. Seances are an interesting way to entertain a group of friends at a dinner party. A good seance medium will make it fun and not too scary for people. They'll give you just enough reality to make the session intriguing! Do your homework before hiring a medium. You don't want to contract someone who will give your guests the chills!
3. Hypnotists are great at loosening up a crowd. Whether it's a small group or a large audience there's nothing better than seeing your boss on stage acting like Marilyn Monroe or your spouse impersonating a Chippendale's dancer in front of 200 people. Most hypnotists have videotapes available for you to view and through this process you will be able to determine whether or not his or her show appeals to you. Hypnosis shows are usually 45 minutes to one hour so you need to be prepared to stop your party for the duration of the time. Discuss timing and scheduling with your performer to make sure it will work with the event schedule.
