Close-up magic is the current popular form of the magicians art incorporating sleight of hand and other subtle principles to amaze the audience. It can be performed in a "mix and mingle" fashion to small groups of people at a reception or at tables between the courses of a formal dinner, or even out doors at a barbeque (weather permitting). At weddings it is the ideal ice breaker or the means of filling the gaps between the service and the photographs or celebrations. Private parties at homes or elsewhere are a speciality. The Close-up magic is often concluded with a finale of larger items if conditions allow.

Children's parties go with a swing with the addition of Len Allan's magic show adding mirth and wonder.
